Hi, I’m Ed, the filmmaker behind Harris Cade. I live on the beautiful South Coast of Devon with my wife, son, and two loyal canine companions. With a refined and minimalistic approach to wedding filmmaking, I bring over seven years of dedicated experience to my craft.

Far beyond just documenting your wedding day, each film I create is meticulously pieced together, weaving your story into a tapestry of elegance and authenticity. My work stands as a testament to artful storytelling, a skill honed over years of capturing profound moments that define a love story.

In an era where trends can overshadow timeless beauty, I embrace classic, simple filmmaking, resisting the allure of passing fads. My focus on light, composition, and human interaction is not merely a stylistic choice but a deliberate commitment to creating films that endure the test of time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your Style?

My films are often described as raw, authentic, elegant and beautiful. They are a true reflection of your day, classically filmed and carefully put together to tell your story. More than just a documentary. I am discrete in how I work, having learnt and refined my skills over nearly a decade. No bulky equipment, so no feeling awkward in front of the camera. I give only a little direction during your day so you never feel like you don’t know what to do.

How long do you stay on our day?

I don’t work to mimimum or maximum hours (within reason!), as this is too constrictive to creating a good film. I commit to capturing your day, however you might have planned it. I usually film from the morning preperations right through to seeing some great, and often hilarious, dance moves.

How long until we recieve our film?

I aim to deliver most of my films within 12 weeks of the big day. It’s a creative process putting them together, carefully selecting the right clips, choosing music that perfectly fits each part of the day and thoughtfully using the most prominant parts of your ceremony and speeches to weave it all together. This takes time and isn’t an exact science, so I cannot put an exact time scale on things.

“Good things come to those who wait…”

Do you use a drone?

Yes! I aim to capture aerial footage at each wedding. I am fully accredited and insured to do so. This is always subject to weather and permissons so isn’t guarenteed, but aerial shots often offer a unique and beautiful perspective on things. This is included for all my clients at no extra charge.

Are there any travel expenses?

For all UK weddings there are no extra expenses, it is ‘all inclusive’ if you will. For elopements and detination weddings we charge for travel at cost, please enquire for a quote.

How much does it cost?

Films starting from £1600. If you think we might be a good fit, then please get in touch and I’d be delighted to send you a pricing guide.

“We've just watched the film and we're both thrilled with it thank you so much! The way the speeches have been woven around the day is just perfect and this is something we'll treasure forever. Having our parents on film is something really special to me, let alone all of our friends and family together, what a gift, thank you.”
